He makes me think of like a young: Keegan-Michael Key, and even in terms of other people via shows, and whatnot KMK is a bit standoffish too so I get it.  Also as it was stated I believe: he’s new at this whole ordeal. First you got to remember this is a show, and this basically takes to light a “extreme” of some behaviors, for Collins it’s a physical frame of standoffishness and uncertainty of “what do I do with any of this”, whereas with Tim (older guy) it’s the whole framework of “I barely can even stand my dog being so compassionate, and Tim (younger dude) being slightly standoffish due to his insecurities on past relationships. Collins is basically Layton, Ollie, Rupert, and Dan all in one. I would also add Jesse on a bad day (minus the devil mask).  Besides, as you can see from the video- the amount of video time you see of Collins is very short, like “oh, you came back…ok…cool”- next scene of another group as Natalie runs back to her apt.
