I literally have to fast forward through Veronica because she is SO RUDE! It’s entirely too hard to watch. 

I feel like Veronica and Dave, and Jackie are totally missing the point of the partner swap. It’s supposed to be about taking in an outsider’s perspective on your relationship and trying to figure out how you can improve it, not looking for reasons why you think someone else’s partner is more fun or looking for something you can’t get out of the relationship you’re in. That being said, SURELY the producers chose the pairs with some kind of malicious intent because there’s some weird connection between some of the swaps. Like why is Paul paired with Awhina if not to stir up drama about his past with her sister, and why is Veronica paired with Dave, who she put first in her line up of the grooms? And Ryan and Beth, obviously they don’t like each other and aren’t willing to be open. Don’t even get me started on Jeff and Jacqui because I feel like that made him very uncomfortable the way he forces his laughter all the time as like a way to keep her at an arm’s length. The only pairs I’m liking are Jamie and Adrian, for obvious reasons, and Eliot and RHi, because he seems genuinely curious on what he can take from RHi and Jeff’s relationship to improve his and Veronica’s, which is more than I can say for her. 

Carina must have agreed with Lauren on some level to be making comments about “caliber” :/ kind of disappointed….i thought Carina was better than that. But now it explains to me personally why she didn’t stand up for Jaime when Lauren was saying the horrible classist crap that time.

I hope that Veronica stays gone.  What a hypocrit to write what amounted to a “Praise Dave, because he is everything you aren’t” letter to Eliot, and then turn around and say “I don’t want to draw any comparison”  WTF?   She is a quintisential narcissist… she and Lauren should be roomies, except there is no place big enough, to house those two egos.

Where do we start… 
firstly I’m happy Jackie got to see what she wants in a partner… as much as her behaviour is questionable I know production cuts lots out so who know what’s going on… also I really hate the way Ryan speaks so highly of himself as those are legit concerns she brought up when you want to have kids. Second Paul and Corona are genuinely hilarious to me and deserve each other … he gets jealous and punches walls… she is the new lauren talking down on others like Cleo awhinas sister for god knows what.. tatoos… girl have you seen yourself? For being catholic…. what religion says to sleep w quavo?? Overall they both make me laugh so good on them truly.. third: Adrian giving Jamie the truth is harsh but realistic and I appreciate ppl like Adrian as it sucks if your in a fairy tale word thinking ppl like you and then they don’t.. just hate how he can’t admit it when everything he does shows it. Also thankfully Veronica left Eliot he was actually not that bad he dodged a bullet for sure…..  open to others thoughts as well 🙂 

This episode has hurt my heart a little.
I saw how Dave was different on the couch last week and I had an inkling something was happening but I truly thought they had real chemistry and companionship. They were there for each other and it seems like Dave is afraid of the “love” word. It’s ok but I didn’t expect that from this couple.
Paul seems quite spineless honestly. He doesn’t know the meaning of “snob”? Puhlease ! It’s the same word in french. The hell is he trying to justify anyway? Yeah he should own up to what he did, sure it’s uncomfortable but he probably really felt those things. Why can’t you tell her? Why be all kissy kissy and then turn like that? So frustrating. He has the right to have reservations and doubts but if he can’t say it to her face, he shouldn’t be saying it to someone else. 
Ryan? As disgusting as ever. I don’t often agree with Jacquie but she was spot on. He IS a mysoginist, he DOES have a fragile ego, he DOES have a weird and distorted view of masculinity (which he never and can never live up to anyway). Why does he need to look down on stay at home fathers? I mean, truly, it only makes sense that the person making more money stays working be it mom or dad. If both are able to work and agree on it, fine! It’s not for everyone to stay at home for years ! But just say so, you don’t need to scoff.
Veronica was flirting her ass off with Dave, as giggly as she was with Eliot before meeting Lauren. Yeah she is not a good person. She is constantly negging Eliot, and while we don’t see everything, even I was annoyed at her letter. Like either give him a real chance or walk away! I swear I feel bad for Eliot. She has been that way since the first dinner party. After that, I feel like she got disgusted and decided to hold on I don’t know why. To make him suffer? She is accoplishing her goals.

Carina has given me this exact impression since the beginning. In Ireland we say ‘Too sweet to be wholesome’ and she is every bar of that! 

Veronica is a classic narcissist. Her behavior has always been telling but using triangulation with Dave was the cherry on top. Making that letter she read to Elliot all about Dave and comparing the two of them, for what? And did she read that same letter to Dave? Never thought I’d say it, but poor Elliot.

I completely agree.  I wonder if her behavior at the retreat was what made him change his mind.  She was completely un hinged.  And I know if someone told me they loved me and I didn’t feel the same I’d definitely be freaked out and pull away even if only to check in with my own feelings.  

Veronica’s over the top flirting with Dave was nauseating and I just don’t buy that she’s really into him.  She obviously despises Eliot but I have no idea why.

Paul is such a little weasly creep, even turning his two-facedness around and suggesting Carina always tells him if anything is needling her about him….!  He is toxic.
