For Paul to tell Awhina ” I knew that was going to upset you”, tells me he planned to sabotage his relationship with Carina.  Not that Carina’s comment about Awhina’s sister is justified, because it sure as hell is NOT.  How dare she comment that about someone she does not even know. Her inner Lauren has emerged.  But there was nothing to be gained by Paul sharing that detailed information with Awhina.  If he felt that Carina’s comments ‘here and there’ are giving him the ‘ick’, then he should have called  Carina to task over it…and tell her straight up, that he doesn’t like what she is saying or how it is making him feel.  Plain and simple. Paul bringing up jealousy as a red flag…. boy is that the pot calling the kettle black.  Does he not recall his blatant caveman jealousy over Carina’s PAST?  The fact that he held his rage, till they were back in their own room, makes it even more concerning, to me.  That could have had a much more disasterous outcome.  I don’t think his anger/rage would have been swept under the rug, if he had not damaged property, that couldn’t be covered up.  Just my opinion (having been in on the receiving end of dv) I no longer root for Carina and Paul. Another “just my opinion”… none of the swapped ‘couples’ should have been sharing a bed. PERIOD. 

Only 16 mins into the epidsode.  Since when does the couples swap mean they have to sleep in the same bed?  Why are some of them assuming that?  I could do the switch over…but sure as hell wouldn’t be sharing the bed with someone else’s spouse. 

Who does Paul think he is?? and also awfhina looks like a bloated fish, why is she such a snob and who is she to judge other peoples relationships…. focus of your special needs kid and stay out of other peoples relationships. im suprised Paul didnt bash Corina when he gave her the ‘ick’ the ileterate woman puncher. what a stupid thing to say to another woman in the experiment, who the fuck is he to talk about jealousy when he cried like a little bitch bc of how reacted when Corina got drilled by a successful rapper. this guy is so full of himself its not even funny. him and Adrian are in competition for who speaks the worst english.

This “reveal your problems to another spouse” exercise…in the name of “honesty” is ALREADY a very transparent trap. This is OBVIOUS.
But Paul literally using Awhina’s sister as a very specific example of his feelings about Carina’s “snobby judgmental” nature was a big WTF? Why would you EVER reveal your partner’s private thoughts about someone else’s sister? And under the guise of how, because you’re SUCH a nice guy, comments like that give you the “ick” but you JUST have to share them with the person it will hurt the most. Throwing his “wife” under the bus AND creating unnecessary conflict between the two women. Yeah…nice guy. 😒

Veronica ALWAYS tries to couch her condescending comments as mere “observations”. That she doesn’t own her hostility is a huge part of her issue. I think her and Elliott is, to some extent, a situation where she sees Elliott as presenting as a certain thing (objectively very good-looking, financially successful, a bit of an ego) and she has decided that SHE has been tasked with BURSTING any semblance of (to be fair, shallow) confidence he has. It’s the constant CONSTANT negging that she seems to think is “keeping him humble and in check”.
The problem is that Veronica CAME IN from jump with that attitude and it’s become off-putting to the point that (at least according to the edit – which is a factor) the audience now COMPLETELY has sympathy for Elliott. Did HE pay someone off in production, is SHE just that smug and condescending, or is it a combo of both?🤔

veronica is so toxic, her passive-agressiveness is gross – shes actually painful to watch how she speaks to elliot is awful but its the tone and the facial expressions – her words would be innocent on paper but her delivery and the constant dripping condescencion is really getting on my nerves. Everything she says is a game of one-upmanship and ‘im better than you’ vicious barbs digging at him and provoking him so she can attempt to take moral high ground. its abuse. and its disgusting.
